Ceylon Spice Company, Sri Lanka

We are a small company trying to put Sri Lanka on the map as a great producer of spices.

As you may already know, most  spices from Sri Lanka are sold in bulk and value addition is done elsewhere; hence no one knows where the products were actually grown and produced.

We understand that establishing a brand in an international market with limited resources is difficult, but we are giving it a go anyway.

It has been difficult, and the reason why is because we are focusing on Organic products.

Sri Lankan spices are more expensive than Indian spices, and therefore we are unable to compete on price, but trying to differentiate ourselves with quality and presentation.

We like The Spice Journal and are enjoying the detail articles about spices.
